New Slim Jim With Venting Channels:  An Ergonomic Solution For Waste Collection

Rubbermaid Commercial Products recently conducted extensive research and rigorous testing in order to develop the new Slim Jim waste container that could improve worker productivity and keep standards of cleanliness high. With innovative, patent-pending design in the areas of ergonomics, mobility and hygiene, the new Slim Jim with Venting Channels is a wonder of function, performance and durability.

Integrated venting channels allow airflow down the sides and beneath the can liner, which breaks the vacuum when removing the container contents, and reduces the average lifting force by almost 70 per cent. Integrated, molded-in handles and base grips are said to make it easier to lift and dump the container.

Additional features include: Four, “pull-through” holes – or can liner cinches – hold the liner in place and eliminate the need to tie knots; the hinge lid opens 270 degrees and stays securely attached to the container while emptying or changing the can liner. In the closed position, it fully covers contents as required by the FDA food code; and the swing lid offers a hygienic, hands-free opening with 61 per cent more unobstructed width for disposing of trash or recycling material.
