ProTeam Unveils Two New Hepa Backpack Vacuums
ProTeam The Vacuum Company®, a designer and manufacturer of ergonomic backpack vacuums, has added two new models featuring HEPA Level™ Filtration to their commercial product line. Advanced and powerful cleaning comes in the 10 quart Super CoachVac® HEPA and the more compact six quart Super QuarterVac® HEPA.
For higher traffic areas that require the utmost cleanliness, the Super CoachVac HEPA sets a new standard. Its 10 quart filter capacity means less time spent emptying the vacuum and more time cleaning. Equipped with the company’s most powerful motor, it’s capable of 150 cubic feet per minute of airflow and 100 inches of static lift – enough suction to remove the most entrenched particulates from low- to medium-pile carpeting, hard flooring, furniture and drapery fabric, and hard-to-reach corners and crevices.
The Super QuarterVac HEPA has all the power and cleaning capabilities of the Super CoachVac HEPA in a more compact body size. Weighing in at only 10 pounds, it is designed to ergonomically and comfortably fit smaller staff members.
Both vacuums are fitted with a HEPA dome filter over the motor that works in concert with ProTeam’s advanced Four Level® Filtration system. This highly-efficient design captures 99.97 per cent of airborne 0.3 micron or larger. Everything from pollen, pet dander, yeast and bacteria to carbon black and tobacco smoke will be removed from surfaces and, ultimately, the air building occupants breath.
“ProTeam developed these backpacks as a direct response to the increased demand for HEPA machines from our customers,” said Matt Reimers, vice president of commercial business. “Getting indoor air that much cleaner really cuts down on illness and allergy triggers, and that makes for a healthier and more productive environment.”
Certified “True HEPA” vacuums have been specially sealed and independently tested for leakage. Essentially, these types of machines are used specifically for asbestos clean-up, healthcare facilities and industrial clean rooms. But a well engineered machine is very capable of excellent pollutant capture. The Four Level Filtration system incorporates multiple methods of particulate capture into the design: a super-efficient organically treated filter bag inserted into another micro cloth filter, the HEPA dome filter over the motor which creates a highly effective internal seal, and an exhaust filter acting as the last line of defense against particles trying to escape.
In fact, the Super CoachVac HEPA and Super QuarterVac HEPA are said to exceed the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Green Label Program standards for performance and filtration. The United States Green Guilding Council (USGBC) has incorporated the CRI standards for vacuums into their LEED-EB® rating system guidelines: the vacuum must be ergonomically designed, capture 96 per cent of particles 0.3 micron or larger, and operate at sound levels of 70 dB or less. ProTeam vacs capture 99.97 per cent of these particles and operate at 67 dB, and thus qualify for accreditation under the LEED ratings for existing buildings.
As with all ProTeam vacuums, a three-year warranty on parts, labour and motor, along with a lifetime warranty on the body, comes standard.
