Avmor's Renovated Research Laboratory:  Improving Worker Wellness While Increasing Efficiency

Avmor Ltd., a Canadian manufacturer of professional cleaning solutions for the janitorial and foodservice markets, is pleased to announce that renovations at its on-site research laboratory in Laval, Que., have been completed.

Avmor’s state-of-the-art laboratory was developed with the health, safety and comfort of the company’s workers in mind. For example, the lab now has better ventilation, which will have a significant impact on Indoor Air Quality. Also, the lay-out of the lab was designed to improve working methods and conditions. The new facilities will increase efficiency within the company by combining the Research and Development Department with the Quality Control/Quality Assurance Departments.

These improvements are in line with Avmor’s continued commitment towards sustainability. Not only does the company manufacture green cleaning solutions, but it proactively seeks to improve its own business practices to improve the health and safety of its workers and the environment. Over the past year, the company’s newly-created Sustainability Committee has implemented innovative company-wide measures: from reducing water consumption, recuperating plastic, installing a bicycle rack to encourage employees to bike to work, to using only EcoLogo approved 100 per cent recycled chlorine free paper and replacing all disposal kitchenware with reusable alternatives.

The company plans to introduce new and innovative products to complement its existing product lines. Avmor continues to develop technologies to not only increase its efficiency, but also to safeguard the health and safety of its workers, customers and the environment.
