Rubbermaid/United Receptacle’s Silent Defenders®

Silent Denfenders® step cans feature a damper-controlled lid that glides closed without a sound – making them an ideal for maintaining a quiet setting. The positive leverage foot pedal and self-closing lid allow for hands-free operation while controlling odors.

The lid features a sturdy, piano hinge with a restraint mechanism to prevent damage to walls and equipment. The institutional quality receptacles comply with OSHA standards on bloodborne pathogens for the safe containment of infectious waste and OBRA regulations. All models are constructed from fire-safe steel and feature retainer bands to secure poly liners inside the receptacle. The container can be used with an optional leak proof rigid plastic liner. Choose from five models ranging in size from seven to 40 gallon capacity. All models are available in white or red durable Uni-Koat powder coated finish; or non-magnetic stainless steel. Optional Biohazard decals are available to ensure proper waste disposal.
