New Splash-Guard™ Side-Press Wringer From Continental
The newest offering in the traditional mopping equipment product array from Continental Commercial Products (CCP) is the SW12 Splash Guard™ Side-Press Wringer, featuring the unique CCP Derma-Tek™ smooth surface.
“Side-press wringers – often known as ‘squeeze wringers’ – are the most commonly sold wringers today,” said Tony Maiuro, product manager for CCP. “They are encountered to purchase, withstand years of rough use, efficiently wring liquid from a mop, and are commonly used in damp mop, spill pick-up and general cleaning applications in food service and janitorial settings. We are introducing these new Splash Guard wringers in response to customer requests for an updated side-press product.”
The SW12 Splash Guard Wringer’s durable injection moulded design will not rust, dent, chip or corrode. It is impact-resistant, and will not break if it is accidentally tossed to the floor. The wringer is built with a torsion-return spring, which provides years of consistent operation. Its non-porous construction is easy to clean, provides a professional appearance, and will not absorb chemicals, liquids or odors.
The wringer handles all sizes of mops, from 12- to 32-ounce. Its built-in mop stick holder conveniently holds the mop handle upright, preventing the mop handle from falling over in transport and storage.
“When we designed the Splash Guard wringer, we addressed the issues that end users most often mention as performance problems,” Maiuro said. “For instance, this new wringer is designed to resist ‘splitting’, a common problem that users experience with squeeze-type wringers. The wringer features substantial venting, so that water is evaluated quickly and thoroughly. It also has a gnarled grip to help maintain control, even when users have wet or oily hands. We also made sure that it meets the stringent requirements of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), so it is capable of withstanding over 250 pounds of static pressure.”
All metal parts of the SW12 Splash Guard Side-Press Wringer are black, electrostatic-coated with a corrosion-resistant powder coating to maintain appearances and extend wringer life. There are four different colour options, including blue, bronze, green and yellow. The wringer is designed to fit CCP’s 26-, 35- and 44-quart mop buckets. It also fits competitive mopping equipment. The SW12 Splash Guard Side-Press wringer is available in several of CCP’s bucket-and-wringer combo packs.
