Trade Contractors Working Together: The Formation of the National Trade Contractors Coalition of Canada
Back in 2004, a group of national trade contractor associations met to discuss the possibility of working together on issues of common interest. That meeting has resulted in the establishment of the National Trade Contractors Coalition of Canada (NTCCC). Inaugural members of the organization include the roofing industry’s national body, the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association.
NTCCC has identified a number of common issues the membership wishes to address in the near future. Of particular interest are three priorities, specifically: assisting the Coalition’s constituent members to get paid, and get paid promptly, for work duly performed; promoting and developing methods for the use of standards, and more importantly, “unaltered” contract documents and the active promotion of the bid depository tendering system.
