FIRESTONE DONATES TO ROOF CONSULTANTS INSTITUTE FOUNDATION

Products Company donated $10,000 to the Roof Consultants Institute Foundation
to support the Foundation’s commitment to education and research initiatives.
Firestone presented the cheque to Joe Hale, Roofing Consultants Institute (RCI)
chairman, during the RCI’s 21st International Convention and Trade
Show held in Phoenix, Ariz., earlier this year.
“Firestone is
committed to quality educational opportunities that benefit industry
professionals, and we value the strong goal-oriented relationship we share with
the RCI Foundation,” said Michael Gorey, president of Firestone Building
Products and CEO of BFS Diversified Products LLC. “We are proud to be a part of
the RCI Foundation’s work and hope our donation will provide educational and
professional growth opportunities.”
Since 2002,
Firestone has donated $50,000 to the RCI Foundation to help expand research and
educational programs within the roofing industry. Firestone annually promotes
and supports education through contributions to roofing association
foundations, such as the RCI Foundation.
The RCI Foundation
is the philanthropic sister organization to RCI. The foundation’s mission is to
support research, education the dissemination of information on issues
important to the roofing industry.
RCI is an
international non-profit association of architects, engineers and professional
roof consultants who specialize in the specification and design of roof
systems. Roof consultants plan roof design solutions, perform evaluations of
existing roofs, prepare construction documents, monitor construction and serve
as expert witnesses.

Products Company is a manufacturer of single-ply, thermoplastic and
asphalt-based roofing systems, polyiso insulation and accessories for the
commercial roofing industry.
