Ecocert Requires Service Providers to Use EcoLogo Certified Products

Ecocert, certifiers of Canadian Green cleaning service providers, has confirmed that the use of EcoLogo(M) certified products will be required as part of the process of certifying Canadian cleaning service providers as being environmentally responsible.

Ecocert was established in response to many requests for certification of environmentally responsible operations from service providers, both in-house and contract cleaners. The overwhelming request from service providers was to recognize the unique aspects of the Canadian cleaning industry and its established environmental standards for cleaning products.

With the increasing interest in LEED building standard, building owners and managers are requiring documented and certified environmentally responsible cleaning operations in these facilities to maintain their LEED status. Ecocert is fully independent with no links to manufacturers. The organization is staffed by experienced professionals with many years of experience in the industry and a strong commitment to the environment.
