Paul Trippett recently joined Continental Manufacturing, a division of Continental Commercial Products, as director of quality and continuous improvement.

Trippett, who will be based in Bridgeton, Missouri, will lead Continental’s quality efforts at the company’s facilities in Bridgeton and Hazelwood, Missouri and Norwalk, Calif.

With over 12 years of experience in the quality and/or continuous improvement areas, Trippett has held a number of positions in the manufacturing environment. He has served as quality engineer, quality assurance manager, and continuous improvement coordinator. He is certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Quality Manager, a Quality Engineer, a Quality Auditor and a Quality Technician. In addition to his ASQ certifications, Trippett has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Southern Oregon State College in Ashland, Oreg.

Trippett was most recently with Federal Mogul in St. Louis, MO, and GDX Automotive in New Haven, MO. While at GDX automotive, he was part of the team that won a Shingo Prize for Manufacturing Excellence.

“We’re excited to have (Trippett) on board with us because of his skill set, especially his certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt,” said Jeff Schiopota, vice president of manufacturing for Continental. “His qualifications are important assets as we work to improve value and quality for our customers.”

A native of Oregon, Trippett and his wife Lezlie have two, teenaged children.

“I believe that the Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools are strong methodologies for continuous improvement,” Trippett said. “Our ultimate goal is to bring our customers’ satisfaction to the next level.”
