Superior Manufacturing Group Announces The Acquisition Of The Teknor Apex Food Service Matting Divison

Superior Manufacturing Group has announced that it has purchased the Food Service Matting Division of Teknor Apex, effective Jan. 2, 2007. With this acquisition, Superior Manufacturing Group now becomes an industry leading supplier of floor matting to the food service industry with the formation of the new NoTrax® Food Service Matting Division. In addition, Superior has also purchased the cutting board and hot water hose products to be offered as part of the food service product line.

“Teknor Apex has been the dominant matting supplier in the food service market for many years,” said Vincent DePhillips, president of Superior Manufacturing Group. “We feel that this was a good fit and we are confident that the combination of the Teknor and NoTrax matting lines will provide even greater opportunities for the Teknor dealers-distributors.”

To ensure a smooth transition, all products will continue to be marketed under the Teknor Apex name, and will maintain the same product names, part numbers, warranties and pricing schedule. In addition, the entire staff of Teknor Apex’s Food Service Division and the field sales representatives have joined Superior as part of the newly-formed NoTrax® Food Service Matting Division.

The new NoTrax® Food Service Matting Division will operate from their customer service and sales centre in Providence, RI, with distribution and warehousing in Chicago, IL.
