New Vice President Of Manufacturing At Contico

Jeffrey Schiopota joined Contico, a division of Continental Commercial Products, as vice president of manufacturing, effective Jan. 1, 2007.

Schiopota, who will be based in Bridgeton, Missouri, will lead the 300-person manufacturing team at Contico’s three injection-moulding facilities in Bridgeton and Hazelwood, Missouri, and Norwalk, Calif. A manufacturing leader with over 20 years of experience, Schiopota’s expertise lies in improving processes, productivity and increasing value for customers. He has been involved with plastics, rubber and composites moulding throughout his career.

Schiopota holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management from the University of Akron, Ohio, and a MBA from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He is a Six Sigma Champion, is certified in Lean Manufacturing, and is a member of both the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the American Society for Quality.

“I came to Contico because I know it’s a solid company with a great reputation,” Schiopota said. “My role is to improve the company’s Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies so we can provide the best value for our customers.”
