ECOSTAR INTRODUCES A FULL LINE OF SNOW GUARDS 

EcoStar, a manufacturer of premium steep slope roofing products, has introduced a full line of pad and pipe-style snow guards. The new line of snow guards is engineered to meet a variety of snow loads, offering superior protection against the potential dangers of rooftop snow while enhancing the beauty of any roofing system. 

Complimenting EcoStar’s existing line of cold-rolled copper snow guards, the new line features pad-style, Kynar-coated aluminum snow guards colour-matched to each of the nine distinctive EcoStar tile shades. The new Kynar-coated snow guards measure nine-inches long by two-and-one-half inches-wide, and feature a wide face that makes them considerably more effective than competing products, helping to prevent damage caused by avalanching snow and ice. 

Designed specifically for use with a wide variety of steep slope roofing systems, these pad-style snow guards create friction that is evenly distributed over an entire roof surface. Once rooftop snow begins to melt, EcoStar’s snow guards help break it into small pieces that pose little danger to objects below. 

Eliminating the need for additional equipment on the roof, the new Kynar-coated snow guards are installed with the same siliconized bronze roofing nails as EcoStar tiles. The nails are installed through two, pre-drilled holes in the snow guard and fastened directly to the roof deck, offering a fast and easy installation.
