FIRESTONE ANNOUNCES ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES
Firestone Building Products Company is
pleased to announce the promotion of Bob Delaney to chief operating officer
(COO) and Tom Walker to vice president of sales and marketing.
Over the past 12 years, Delaney has helped
lead the company through a tremendous growth period, while providing customers
with exceptional sales and marketing support throughout Firestone’s worldwide
industries. In his new role as COO, Delaney will be positioned to set and
implement the strategies necessary to continue growing our business, both
domestically and internationally.
Delaney, who has worked in the roofing
industry for 23 years, joined Firestone in 1994. He held a progression of
Firestone management assignments, including serving as western regional sales
manager and north central regional sales manager. Promoted to vice president of
sales in 2000, he oversaw domestic and international sales of the company’s
roofing systems. His responsibilities expanded in 2004, when Firestone combined
sales and marketing into a single department.
Tom Walker is Firestone’s new vice
president of sales and marketing, and will oversee the U.S. and international
roofing sales and marketing efforts. Walker’s combined experience in leading
the company’s national sales organization, as well as transitioning the
Firestone Metal Products roofing organization into Firestone Building Products,
provides an excellent foundation for success in his new role.
Walker has nearly two decades of experience
in the commercial roofing industry. He originally joined Firestone as national
accounts manager in 1995, and served as eastern regional sales manager for
three years. In 2002, Walker was named Firestone’s national sales manager. Most
recently, he served as director of metal roofing with the responsibility of
overseeing the manufacturing and sales of Firestone Metal Products. Walker will
continue to serve in this capacity in addition to his role as vice president of
sales and marketing.
