Oxivir Usa Has Arrived
JohnsonDiversey Inc. has announced the
introduction of Johnson Wax Professional Oxivir Tb, a ready-to-use cleaner
disinfectant that disinfects surfaces with a one-minute contact time. Ideal for
healthcare facilities, Oxivir Tb is a general virucide, batericide,
tuberculocide, fungicide, sanitizer and cleaner formulated with patented
accelerated hydrogen peroxide technology.
“There are two features that really make
Oxivir Tb revolutionary,” said Steve Thomson, product manager with JohnsonDiversey.
“The first is its one-minute contact time for disinfection. Traditionally, some
disinfectants have to dwell on surfaces up to 10 minutes. Oxivir Tb cleaner
disinfectant’s one-minute contact time ensures cleaning staff use the product

When left wet on a pre-cleaned surface for
one minute, Oxivir Tb cleaner disinfectant is designed to be bactericidal and
virucidal, which means healthcare facilities can kill HBV, HCV and HIV-1 in one
minute. With a five-minute contact time, Oxivir Tb works as a tuberculocide,
and after 10 minutes, the cleaner disinfectant kills fungi.
“The second great feature of Oxivir Tb is
its environmental profile,” Thomson said. “The product does not contain any
volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs). The
product does not have a strong fragrance that could be irritating to patients
and the formula’s active ingredient breaks down into water and oxygen.”
Oxivir Tb cleaner disinfectant can be used
with microfibre cleaning tools with no loss of its active ingredient and is
safe for use throughout healthcare facilities, from patient rooms to public
areas. The product can be used on surfaces such as vinyl, plastic, chrome,
glazed ceramic, porcelain and tile, and can also be used to disinfect hospital
items, such as wheelchairs, mattress covers, bed pans and almost any washable
food and non-food contact surface where disinfection is required.
When used in compliance with cleaning and
disinfecting procedures, Oxivir Tb cleaner disinfectant helps decrease the risk
