New Manufacturing Managers at Glit-Microtron
Quality, process and manufacturing experts
Patrick Lee and David Buki recently joined the Glit-Microtron division of
Continental Commercial Products as new managers in the continuous improvement
department. The Glit-Microtron facility, located in Wrens, GA, is a leading
manufacturer of floor maintenance and hand pads, along with abrasive sanding
items, sponges and scouring products.
Patrick Lee is the new process
engineer/kaizen coordinator for Glit-Microtron. David Bui is Glit-Microtron’s
new continuous improvement manager. They both hold advanced credentials in lean
Manufacturing, a management philosophy that focuses on quality, reduction of
wastes, continuous improvement, flexibility and strong relationships with
customers and suppliers. Lee is a Six Sigma Green Belt and Buki is a Six Sigma
Black Belt.
A native of the Philippines,
Lee holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Santo Tomas
in Manila. He
has significant experience in the textile and machining industry, and most
recently worked for a division of BP Amoco. Buki, a native of Augusta,
GA, has a bachelor of applied science and
technology degree from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA.
Before joining Glit-Microtron, he worked for a division of Whirlpool and in the
lockset manufacturing, commercial printing and automotive industries.
“ David Buki is focusing on process
improvements and Six Sigma projects to make our processes more robust,” said
Wayne Seal, the company’s quality manager and director of continuous
improvement. “Patrick Lee is working on quality-related issues that are
critical to our customers’ requirements. The new perspectives that come from
their various backgrounds benefit everybody. They bring a lot of horsepower to
our continuous improvement department. We’re delighted to have Patrick and
David on the Glit-Microtron team.”
