When urinals are
flushed, small amounts of water and urine cover nearby surfaces, adding to
bacteria growth and odor problems.
Urine is normally
sterile and emits very little or no odor. But mixed with the damp surfaces of
conventional urinals, bacteria – and with it, odors – can grow.
The Yukon uses no
water and has a vertical trap design, preventing odors from escaping. Urine
passes through the trap, forming a barrier. This helps keep restrooms clean and
smelling fresh.
