KÄRCHER CANADA INTRODUCES “PLUG & PLAY” WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEMS

Kärcher Canada has announced the launch of its Waterclean WPC series of drinking water purification systems for the Canadian marketplace.

The water purification system can be installed in areas that are not connected to a municipality’s main water supply or in places where the quality of the available water is inadequate. This is often the case in sparsely populated rural districts, or hotels and camping sites in remote areas. The four different water systems are said to be able to clean many types of source waters including: lakes, rivers, wells, springs or even brackish and salt water, into pure drinking water.

The Standards Development branch of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment has reviewed the Kärcher Waterclean Potable Water Purification System and, based on a review of the data, the Ministry concurs that the system, if applied properly, can be a viable water purification system. Kärcher has been awarded the New Environmental Technology Evaluation certificate (NETE) for the system.

The Waterclean systems are specifically designed to produce from 15,000 to 240,000 litres of drinking water per day, ideal for smaller municipal applications such as offline community assets, administration offices, parks, schools, airports, hospitals and community centres. At the heart of the water system is a membrane filter that operates on the physical principle of reverse osmosis combined with a fully-automatic onboard microprocessor which allows for the monitoring of production and quality control.

“The unit’s membrane pores are so fine that only water molecules can pass through – which means bacteria, viruses, cists, heavy metals and pesticides are reliably removed,” said Kärcher Canada’s President, Ken Saeckl. “More importantly, the cost savings of these unique systems are significantly more than any custom designed water solutions currently offered on the market.”

Every water purification system is fully-equipped with integrated piping tie points and electrical interface points which enable “Plug and Play” electrical and water connectivity during installation. Kärcher’s modular design enables our water purification solutions to be tailor designed to most applications depending on the source water analysis and local demands.
