New Software Optimizes Steel Deck Fastening

Available for free download, the new Hilti Profis DF Diaphragm Software Version 2.0 provides an efficient and effective tool for optimizing steel deck fastening solutions. Profis DF Diaphragm 2.0 calculates diaphragm shear, flexibility factors and uplift resistance for steel deck roof and floor systems using Hilti fasteners.

Profis DF stands for Professional Information System – Direct Fastening, and the software includes estimating and zoning functions that help determine the most cost-effective steel deck solution for specific applications.

The state-of-the-art software features an improved graphical user interface (GUI) with easy-to-read screens, colour breakouts and an intuitive process that gives structural engineers the freedom to explore different solutions. The program includes design calculation transparency for diaphragm shear, wind uplift and combined loading analysis, incorporating the latest ICC-ES AC43 performance data.
